ARTISAN Capital Group Completes Adaptive-Reuse Project at Cityville on 9th
06/01/2025

ARTISAN Capital Group (“ACG”) has successfully wrapped up a major adaptive-reuse project at Cityville on 9th in Des Moines, Iowa, marking a key milestone in the property's continued evolution and community impact.
Following the acquisition of the property in 2024, ACG spearheaded the transformation of vacant ground floor space on the community’s west side. Originally designated for commercial use, the space was converted into 18 modern, walk-up apartment units. The commercial space had remained vacant since the building’s initial construction several years prior. With collaboration from local and regional vendors, the $2 million+ redevelopment recently reached completion. Certificates of occupancy were received in May 2025, and resident move-ins are now underway.
“This was a great collaborative effort between our ARTISAN team, Hildreth Construction, Accretive Project & Development Services and Slingshot Architecture,” said Sean Fogarty, Partner at ARTISAN Capital Group. “We’re proud to bring new life to underutilized space while expanding quality housing options in the community and neighborhood.”
